The Talega Golf Course, a par 72, 18 hole facility, was designed by Fred Couples and Brian Curley of Schmidt-Curley Design, inc. As the newest San Clemente Golf Course, it is part of the planned Talega Community which gives its residents reserve tee times one day in advance, discounts on green fees, and entrance into the Annual Talega Residents Day Golf Tournament.
The course has extra wide fairways, large greens, and Augusta white crushed marble sand bunkers. The course includes canyons, lakes, a marsh, and tops out at just under 7,000 yards from the back tees. Take into account ocean breezes during play.
