TITLE: Director/Teacher of preschool—approx. 25 hours/week

LOCATION: Serra Parent Participation (Cooperative) Preschool is located at 1005 Calle Puente, San Clemente, CA. Take 5 FWY South to Palizada and go Right. Go West through 2 lights and at 2nd stop sign, Calle Puente, go Right. Follow Calle Puente. School is located on Corner of Canada and Calle Puente. School is in the Youth Activities Building. It is directly South of Las Palmas Elementary.

SUMMARY: Serra Preschool is a cooperative preschool that has been in operation for 38 years. The school is licensed for 44 children ages 2.9 years – 5 years of age. Currently, there is a two-day program (T, Th) for 3-4 year olds and a three-day program (M, W, F) for 4-5 year olds. There are five parents assisting the teacher daily. Operational hours are 9:00 a.m. – 12:15, five days a week.

DESCRIPTION: Duties may include but are not limited to:

Develop daily curriculum Plan school activities Assist in the development of school budget Attend monthly board and general meetings Direct the working parents in their assigned positions and during their participation days in the classroom

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have a love for children Understand the children’s developmental stages Meet all requirements of Title 22 for directing and teaching AA or Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood or 4 years experience teaching and/or directing

SALARY: Competetive rate with benefits negociable

HOURS: Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Some evenings and Saturdays are required for special events.
