Hiking In San Clemente
FORSTER RANCH RIDGELINE TRAIL
This 3.2 mile trail follows a crest along the Forster Ranch Community Development.
The trail itself is completely unpaved and natural so good walking shoes and coordination is a must.
This trail has several steep sections and can often be washed out in sections after a good rain.
The east side of the trail neighbors the Mission Viejo Land Conservancy so be sure to enjoy the native coastal chaparral wild land.
This trail has 3 designated monuments with awesome views.
We highly recommend this trail and can’t wait until it is extended North to the San Juan Regional trail which will allow hikers to continuously hike the South County Ridgelines!
DIRECTIONS : From I-5 Exit Camino De La Estrella and head east for about 4 miles. Turn right on to Camino Vera Cruz. At the top of the hill turn left on to Costero Risco. Trail head is 200 yrds ahead on the right you will see a sign and a large white wooden fence bordering the trail.
